Day 1
Arrival at Entebbe International Airport

Upon arrival at Entebbe international airport you will be met and greeted by our representtive who will the transfer you to your hotel.

Day 2
Transfer to Murchison falls National Park

Rise early for your Breakfast before embarking on our journey to murchison falls national park Uganda’s largest protected area,watchout for the the beautiful scenes on the way and anumber of birds. Stopover at the zziwa rhino sanctuary, a project aimed at the restoration of the exctincting rhinos in Uganda. Have lunch and continue to murchson falls national Park time allowing you may stopover or pass via the top of the falls.

Day 3
Game drive and Boat cruise on the Nile

Enjoy an early morning game drive on the northern banks of the Nile on which you may encounter the lions, deffassa, Uganda kobs, roth’s child Giraffe, Elephants, buffaloes among other. return to the lodge for a mid morning break and after lunch set yourselves for an exciting boat cruise on the Nile where you may encounter several water animals like the hippos and crocdiles plus and astonishing display of birdlife and land animals.

Day 4
Transfer to KIbale Forest National Park

Early morning after your breakfast, take on the long drive to Kibale Forest National Park through the verndant countryside. the tea plantatiuons and local homestaeds will surely present you with a good optical nutrition. for avid bird wwatchers, watch out for a number of bird counts on the way.

Day 5
Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest National Park

Finally here comes the long awaited day of chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest, assemble at the park headquarters where after a briefing you will be assigned a guide who will lead you into the rich tropical rainforest in search of the chimpanzee. the Forest has a rich diversity of primates including the l’hoest’s monke, colobus monkey, vervet monkey, baboons and a wide array of birds and plants as well as insects. in the afternoon after lunch visit the Bigodi Wetland sanctuary a home of very many primates and birds.

Day 6
Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest National Park and Bigodi Swamp walk

Early morning enjoy your breakfast and a short transfer to semuliki National Park. upon arrival we shall make our way into the rich forests of Ituri the once proud home of some of the batwa people. you will be taken through the xperience of these people thier ways of life and survival. continue to the sempaya hot springs where you may boil eggs and plantains in the gushing water.

Day 7
Transfer to QueenElizabeth National Park

Early morning we say bye to Kibale and headout into the shadows of Mountains of the Moon to Queen Elizabeth National Park. we may stopover at the equator in Kasese where you may take photos standing in two hemispheres at the same time. arrive in time for luunch and check into the lodge. in the afternoon enjoy a 2hrs boat cruise on the Kazinga channel that joins Lake Edward to lake Gearge. here you may encounter a number of both water and land animmal plus a number of birds.

Day 8
Game drive and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Early rise for a real african game drive on the game tracks of kasenyi, Queen Elizabeth National Park is home to 4 of the big five which you are most likely going to encounter on a lucky day. the elephants, buffalose, lion, leopard, uganda kobs, water bucks, reed bucks among others. later transfer to Bwindi ipentrable Forest National Prak via the Ishasha sector popular for the tree climbing lions. watchout out for the beautiful scenary and the winding roads as you go through the switzland of East africa all the way to the proud home of half of the world’s remaining mountain Gorillas in the world.

Day 9
Gorilla trekking

Finally the climax of our Uganda classic safari is an encounter with the Mountain Gorillas. Entry into the spectacular Bwindi impenetrable forest following a brief briefing about the procedures of the activity. you will be led by an experienced guide who will lead you to the Mountain Gorillas. after meeting the Gorillas you will spend an hour with them and finally slope down back to your lodge. depending on the time , ability and will you may take a community walk in the afternoon to experience the livelyhoods of the local Bakiga people who live around this Ancient rich Forest.

Day 10
Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Transfer to lake bunyonyi a perfect place to relax after a streneous Gorilla trekk. the dotted islands and the many birds from which the lake derives its name give it a spectacular view. you can try your hands out at a dug out canoe or a boat ride to a nearby island and enjoy cray fish.

Day 11
Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Wake up for breakfast and transfer to Lake Mburo National park arriving in time for lunch and check into your lodge. in the afternoon enjoy a boat ride on Lake Mburo and in the evening you may enjoy a nature walk into the gree accavia woods all the way to the salt lick a place where animals lick the ground because of the salt.

Day 12
Departure

Early morning check out for an early game drive as we drive out of the park. depending on your flight time you may stop over at at the Equator and Mpambire drum makers.

Frequently asked Questions

How fit do I need to be to do this trek?

Annapurna Base Camp is a Grade B or a moderately difficult trekking route. So any fit person can do this trek, even if you do not have any previous experience. You should be aware of what to expect and mentally prepare for it. Then, as long as you will to, you can.

How long do we walk every day when doing Annapurna Base Camp trekking?

On average, you walk about 4 to 6 hours per day. One or two days can be as less as 3hrs and one or two days can be as long as 7hrs.

What is the highest altitude reached in this trek?

The highest altitude reached is 4190m. This is the elevation of Annapurna Base Camp. ABC is the highest we will climb in this trek.

What about battery charging and hot shower facilities?

Yes, you can charge batteries en route. Charger should be brought. There are hot shower facilities as well. You may have to pay certain amount for both ($1-$2). Negotiate. Also, hot water facility could be free at lower elevation.

Are there ATMs on the way to Annapurna Base Camp?

No. There are no ATMs on this trek route. You will have to draw enough cash in Pokhara or Kathmandu. There are a number of ATMs in these cities. Everything is paid in Nepali rupees. So money should be exchanged before the start of the trek.

What about internet access?

Yes. Internet can be accessed in most places. Sometimes, there might be some technical problems. Internet in Nepal is not as fast as you are used to and at times you can just lose connection.

Is it necessary to hire Guides/trekking agency for Annapurna Base Camp trekking?

Not really. It depends on you. If you want, ABC trekking can be done independently. You could hire a guide and a porter by yourself instead of going through an agency or not hire a guide at all. Although, not having a guide can be a little problematic during off season.

It really depends on you. Is it your first time in Nepal? How confident are you of being able to find your way around? How pressed on time are you? If you go through an agency, it will be costlier but everything will be planned. You will only have to come, trek and return.

How much do guides and porters cost?

For Annapurna region, pay for guides range from $20 to $30 per day and porters take $15 to $25 per day.
